The Minister of the Federal Court of Auditors (TCU), Bruno Dantas, has instructed the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU) to remove obstacles to accessing data on the secret budget on the Transparency Portal. The decision was made after a request from Senator Alessandro Vieira (PSDB-SE), who pointed out difficulties in obtaining information about the use of public funds through the portal.

The secret budget refers to funds allocated to parliamentarians for the execution of amendments to the budget. The TCU has already identified irregularities in the use of these resources, such as the allocation of funds to municipalities without the necessary technical capacity to execute the projects. The CGU is responsible for managing the Transparency Portal, which provides access to information on public spending.

The TCU's decision is expected to improve transparency and accountability in the use of public funds. The removal of obstacles will allow citizens and civil society organizations to more easily monitor the execution of the secret budget and identify potential irregularities.
