The Central Bank of Brazil has announced that PIX transactions reached a new record high on Friday, 6th. A total of 227.4 million transactions were made, with a value of R$ 52.4 billion. This represents an increase of 10.2% in volume and 12.5% in value compared to the previous record, set on 2nd December 2022.

PIX is a fast and convenient payment system that allows users to make instant payments using their mobile phones. It has quickly become popular in Brazil, with over 130 million registered users.
