The Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban) has reported a substantial 61% growth in PIX transactions during the first half of the year, with the total value reaching £29 billion. This surge in electronic payments highlights the increasing adoption of digital banking services in Brazil. PIX, a real-time payment system launched in 2020, has gained popularity due to its convenience, speed, and low transaction fees. The platform allows users to make instant payments and transfers 24 hours a day, seven days a week, using only a mobile phone number or QR code. The growth in PIX transactions is expected to continue as more businesses and consumers embrace digital payment methods.
