This represents a significant increase from the previous record of 217.2 million transactions set on November 25th, 2022. The total value of PIX transactions on Friday was R$ 52.6 billion, also a new record. The growth in PIX transactions is attributed to its convenience, speed, and low cost, making it a popular payment method for both individuals and businesses. The Central Bank expects the continued growth of PIX transactions in the coming months.
